In light of #SGBudget2018, Esco had the honor of hosting Mr. Lawrence Wong, Singapore’s Minister for National Development & 2nd Minister for Finance, at our new Esco Ventures incubator. The visit started with an introduction of Esco’s history to our esteemed guests, before our Group President & CEO, Mr. XQ Lin went into greater depth on Esco Group’s transformation into a globally operating, innovative life sciences company.
Besides the short discussion session at the start, Minister Wong was also shown our wet laboratory and some of our own innovative products e.g. our TideCell bioreactors and Miri TL.
Our team members also had the chance to interact with Minister Wong and tell him more about the projects they are working on as well as their views and opinions on matters pertaining to the industry.
As a company that has benefitted from government’s support in our transformation process, we greatly appreciate our leaders’ efforts in facilitating more corporate-level innovation and transformation. We also hope that through the session we had, and the feedback we gave, that stronger corporate-government partnerships would be forged.
